Network information

Yisp operates its own network (YISP-AS) in Switch Datacenter in Amsterdam and Evoswitch in Haarlem. In Miami we use the Netrouting network. Below there is a full network description per location.

YISP (Amsterdam)

YISP-AS is a fully redundant network based on Brocade equipment. Because of the level of redundancy we can offer an uptime guarantee of 99.9%! The network consists of the following uplinks:

  • - 100Gbit AMS-IX
  • - 60Gbit Openpeering / NL-IX
  • - 100Gbit Telia
  • - 100Gbit Cogent
  • - 50Gbit Level 3
  • - 700+Gbit Private peering

Netrouting (Miami)

The Netrouting backbone was built to optimize response time, latency and uptime. Netrouting is connected to various carriers and internet exchanges, using the the BGP-4 protocol to select the fastest connection available.

We use first class routing/switching equipment and premium graded connectivity. Netrouting uses extensive software to monitor the enitre network 24/7/365. This allows us to maintain pro-active, preventing possible issues before they occur.

The backbone is configured to function failsafe, this means if one of the connections fail another would pick up instantly for uninterrupted service. The Netrouting backbone runs under autonomous system number 47869 (AS-NETROUTING) and is running multi-homed. The infrastructure of Netrouting in Miami consists of the following uplinks:

  • - 4x 1Gbit Global Crossing
  • - 2x 10Gbit Cogent
